Penguin Parents

The Owlets have been learning about Antarctica and materials. As part of their Geography and Science they read 'The Emperors Egg'. A story about penguins and how they care for an egg and baby penguin chick. They then worked in small groups to care for their own eggs and used materials to create protection for their very precious eggs. The children created beds, clothing and hammocks for their fragile eggs and we only lost one egg!
