Last week most of our Year 6 pupils enjoyed 4 days and 3 nights away from their families as part of their Y6 residential. We set off on Tuesday morning, stopping off at our Youth Hostel in Bath before exploring the Roman Baths and the city of Bath including amazing parks and canal pathways. On Wednesday we were up early for a cooked breakfast before we explored both the Natural History and Science Museum in London. We came back to games on the lawn with all our fellow Y6s before spending Thursday at Longleat Safari Park. Here we explored the many, many animals, enjoyed a gentle train ride around the vast site before hopping onboard the boat to feed sealions and see the gorilla enclosure and new hippo home. More games and fun with friends was enjoyed on Thursday night and then on Friday we explored the many sights of Bath before enjoying some sketch work near the Royal Crescent - we were beyond amazed with this incredible architecture.
A huge thank you goes to Mrs Winter for organising such an amazing trip. Mrs Counter, Mr Lumby, Mrs Hosking and Mrs Ogbourne for being such excellent group leaders and Mrs Court for being part of our group - you can see her sitting down on the job - on an actual Ancient Roman throne! So many wonderful memories have been made and we have lots of new friends ready for our transition days at College - which are coming ever closer!
